Donut time

Best weekend "breakfast treat":

PohPoh and GoongGoong

Evie and I were looking at the pictures on my phones and when she saw this one, she sighed "I miss PohPoh and GoongGoong." Darn tootin' we do! We hope they come back soon for a visit!

Pink Car

Thanks, cousin Ian, for the awesome car! We love it! Trust me, Evie was not happy she had to give up the driver's seat to Nora! Riding along in my automobile.... Spending quality time with Daddy in the garage

Sound of Music

Sound of Music is one of my all-time favorite movies and was the very first movie we let Evie watch (well, just the Do-Re-Mi scene) several years ago. She sort of forgot about it for a while but a few weeks ago, on our drive down to Portland, PohPoh turned on her iTunes and we had a sing-a-long in the car. Since then, Evie's been really into "the kids" and all the songs they sing. She's even made me look up each "kid" online to see what they look like as adults (go IMDB them - it's fun!). Anyway, this movie is her current Saturday morning TV-time favorite. We let her watch up until the "good night cuckoo" song, but it's enough to keep her singing and dancing all week long. I'm so happy that my love of this movie has passed down to my girls! Even Nora wants to know "how do you solve a problem like Maria?" Evie acting out Gretl's pivotal scene.

Happy 1st birthday, Nora-bearski!

I really can't believe that a year has now passed from when my water broke and Nora joined our family a few hours later. "Days long, years short" is so true! Time has flown by. My heart is so full thinking of my two little girls and how much happiness they bring into my life.  Little Nora is not so little now though! At her doc appt today, she weighed in at 19.3 lbs, which is in the 25th percentile! She's also at the 54 percentile for height. She did pretty good with her shots today - cried quite a bit but calmed down after being distracted by PohPoh asking her to look for birdies and airplanes out the window. Sitting in a big girl chair, blissfully unaware she's about to get shots. After dinner, we sang her Happy Birthday and she tried her first cupcake. Despite Evie's whining, I stuck to my guns and gave Nora vanilla instead of a chocolate cupcake. Sadly, she was not too into it. I think she was scared off by the candle so didn't like touchi

Cousin weekend

It was a party non stop this past weekend when cousin Ian came into town for a visit! Evie and Ian are thick as thieves and had such a blast playing together. I didn't get enough photos of the visit, but here's a few moments I caught on camera: Ian's first whirlpool bath!  On the Seattle Ferris Wheel It was a beautiful day. Too bad she didn't want to look for this picture. Comfy and cozy in our ferris wheel pod. Hugs for YeeYee/Mommy

double stroller

We haven't used our double stroller much because it's a bit bulky. We dusted it off and took it for a quick walk to Starbucks the other morning and the girls had so much fun in it! Nora was supposed to be napping but instead couldn't stop giggling. Here's the happy camper:

Bun Girl Dancin

While we were at the hotel in Portland over the weekend, I put Evie's hair up in a bun so her hair would be out of her face when she went to the pool with Scott. She looked so grownup that Scott wanted to take a quick video of her. Since the spotlight was on, she used this opportunity to do some dancing with little sis!

Harmonica girl

Evie saw Ian's video playing the harmonica so of course had to get one. She's been playing up a storm. Good thing it keeps both of the girls entertained!
