Wine night

All the days are starting to blur together, but we definitely enjoyed relaxing and staying in over the weekend. The best part? We broke open a fancy bottle of wine on Saturday night! We have no idea when and where we got this since it's from 2007 and we were worried it had gone bad, but after letting it breathe for a bit, I'm happy to report it was tasty! 🍷😍

Social distancing day... 24?

I just checked and I've been working from home since Feb 28th, so it's been 24 days since I've worked in the office. It's been 11 days since the kids officially got let out of school on March 13th. And, it's been 9 days since the kids have been out of the house, aside from walks outside in our neighborhood. I went out once, 8 days ago, to pick up medicine for Nora. I feel like we're doing our part to flatten the curve! So, here's some more scenes of what our very boring daily life looks like. On the plus side, I really love spending so much time with the girls. It's fun that they hang out with us and snuggle up during the day. I've blocked off time on my calendar to check in with them at least 2x during the day, and we use that time to eat lunch or a snack, or check their "homework" or to play games or go scootering outside. Another plus is that happy hour can start anytime now and no one judges, haha. On the downside, it's har

Coronavirus shut-in scenes

Since I don't have a desk, I've taken over Nora's! I picked her desk because her room and desk is neater than Evie's. Lunch buddy Evie being a reading machine while Nora just hangs out and snuggles close.

Going strong

Still going strong here in Washington! So strong that Evie got an award for it She got a certificate for being the top girl in class for doing the longest plank - 15 minutes! My abs just hurt THINKING about it!  (For anyone who is curious, we already looked up that according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest plank was 8 hours.)

Working from home

Another day of working from home for us! I've been working remotely since 2/28, after I went home because my voice was starting to get hoarse. I subsequently had a phlegmy cough that I couldn't get rid off and didn't want people throwing stones at me for bringing germs into work. Thankfully, I haven't had a fever so I think it's just a sinus congestion. Microsoft and RealSelf (and a bunch of other companies) officially directed non-essential employees to work from home last week due to Coronavirus fears so now we've been home for about a week and a half and this is the new normal! The Coronavirus craze is real here in Bellevue. The freeways are virtually empty because no one is commuting anymore. Costco and other stores have been out of TP and other "essentials" that people are now hoarding. Everyone is emailing/texting back and forth whatever latest news they are hearing. And everyone is all up in arms about whether or not schools should be closin
