Covid roundup

Wow, can't believe January has already flown by! It's been quite the month, even though we haven't really done anything noteworthy. The main news is that COVID finally infiltrated our little bubble. Evie caught it somewhere but we are not sure where since we have not been notified of close contact from anyone. She complained of a headache and feeling tired, but a rapid test was negative and she felt fine 2 hours later so back to school she went! This was on Tuesday, the 11th. On Wednesday evening, we had a pre-planned PCR test scheduled because we had plans to go to Vancouver for MLK weekend for some skiing. We got results back on Saturday AM that Evie was positive and boy were we surprised! I guess we shouldn't have been given her headache on Tuesday but she's had no other symptoms and all of us have been feeling dandy. Needless to say, we canceled our trip. Christmas roundup

Happy new year! Can't believe we're already almost 10 days into the new year and we didn't even share pics from the rest of our LA trip. Our two weeks in LA flew by and we all had a wonderful, relaxing time visiting with family. The trip was pretty low key though because of the rain but also because COVID and weather woes made it difficult to see family and friends. It was still a nice break though, and the kids were super sad to leave. Here's hoping that we will finally have a normal Christmas again next year!
