Tulip time

On the way home from Orcas Island this weekend, we did a quick detour to check out the tulip fields! We were lucky that it wasn't raining, and that it was still light enough out at 7:30 to take few quick snaps. Nora does not remember these tulip fields from when she was a baby so she was so excited about all the flowers. She especially loved that there were her favorite color available - purple!  Selfie! I really need to learn to do these better. Keeping her hair from blowing in the wind. Vibrant yellow color! My two favorite goofballs.

PSA

And now, for today's PSA on bullying:

More birthday goodness

Grammie and Grandpa were kind enough to watch the girls on Sunday so that we could go have a birthday date night and since it was my birthday, I got to pick the spot and I picked HOTPOT! Scott is not a fan so this is really the only time that I can force him to go without much pushback.  Since Scott hadn't tried Little Sheep Hotpot yet, that's where we went. We ordered way too much food, of course, and burned our mouths with the spicy soup but it was worth it! His final verdict was it was good, but he prefers one of the other hotpot places we have been to before. All I really paid attention to was "it was good" so I think there might be more hotpot in the future now? =) Thanks, Scott, for the yummy hotpot dinner. Thanks, Grammie and Grandpa for watching the girls!

Crazy hair day

Friday was crazy hair day at Evie's school and this is what we came up with. She came in 3rd place for her class. I think she should have gotten first!.

happy birthday to me!

I had a nice birthday, complete with cake at work and then dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant and then a fruit tart and singing at home. Here's a selfie I took to celebrate going into the last year of my 30's!

Dreaming of Kauai

In anticipation of our upcoming trip to Kauai, here's photos from the last time we went back in 2015. These little girls were so sweet and so little! This will be our first time going so early in the year so cross your fingers for us that the weather is going to cooperate and not rain the whole time!

Happy Easter!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Our Easter was a laz-a-roni day. We dyed eggs, did an easter egg hunt, baked cookies and got ready for our upcoming trip to Kauai.  Can you tell me which one I made?
