When Daddy's away....

Scott has been traveling a lot lately, and mostly it's been on the weekends to attend doctor conferences. It means a lot of girls-only fun times. Scott's missing out! Goofing around in front of the library I told Nora to wait patiently while our table got set up at the conveyor belt sushi place. Are you surprised as I am that she obliged?! :) Afternoon treat of Boba Slushie. Best treat of all is they get to sleep in my room while Scott's gone! This is how I found them hours later....

Pie class

Nora and I took a kids cooking class where we made turkey pot pie and fruit turnovers with her pal Alisa. It was pretty fun having a little mommy and Nora time! buddies Rolling out the dough for her pot pie

Belated Mother's day post

Another super late post! I need to catch up!  For Mother's day, we headed out to Orcas Island with our friends Kingsey, Kingston and their parents in tow. The kids biked around town. Apparently there were 4 different meltdowns, one from each kid. Then they exp

I summed it up to some co-workers when I got back as: it was a boozy, sunshine-filled kid-free weekend with so good food and friends! First, big shout out thank you to Grammie and Grandpa for watching the girls so that Scott and I can do a little jaunt down to CA. The girls l-o-v-e spending time with them so it was a special treat they were looking forward to having their undivided attention for several days! For Scott and me, we flew down to SF late Friday afternoon and since we were in the Oakland area, decided to try Nyum bai, a Cambodian restaurant that Way had recommended. OMG, it was the perfect way to start the weekend. The food was delicious - I'm still thinking about it! I've never had Cambodian food before so wasn't sure what to expect and relied on some of the recommendations our waiter gave us. We started with a Ngo
