Scott has been traveling a lot lately, and mostly it's been on the weekends to attend doctor conferences. It means a lot of girls-only fun times. Scott's missing out!

I told Nora to wait patiently while our table got set up at the conveyor belt sushi place. Are you surprised as I am that she obliged?! :)

Afternoon treat of Boba Slushie.

Best treat of all is they get to sleep in my room while Scott's gone!

    I let Michaela sleep with me whenever Mike is out of town. She's a total bed hog! I rolled her over to one side of the bed last night so I'd have more than a sliver to lay on and she -- in her sleep! -- gave me the dirtiest look I've ever seen! LOL.

Happy new year!!

Goodness, it's already 2025! It's been a really long time since we posted!  We had a very lazy new year. We flew back from LA on the evening of the 31st so spent the last remaining hours of 2024 cozying up on the couch and then fell asleep before it even hit midnight! On New Years day, we slept in, cleaned up the house and then did a quick hike the next day. All in all, a good start to the year! Nora's new blanket hoodie. Cold and muddy trails. We're not in LA anymore! We hiked the Primrose trail that follows Coal Creek.

Little hands

Evie made me a cute little jewelry tray for Mothers Day back in kindergarten and I've been using it to put little knicknacks like hair ties. I don't know what material it was made out of but it's been slowly crumbling away until Scott finally got fed up with the mess and threw it in the trash. Before he did though, we took a photo of her old hand compared to now. Look how little she used to be! sniff sniff.

Trick or Treat!

Halloween this year was the quietest one we've had in 13 years! This was the first one we had without the girls! Both of them went to friends houses and left Scott and I to man the door. It was very quiet at home because the doorbell rang only 4x the entire night, but at least both girls said they had a lot of fun despite it being rainy and dreary out. Thankfully, they have finally learned to not trust Seattle weather in October and chose warm(ish) costumes!
